From my Rhetoric and Civic Life class

For the spring semester, my Rhetoric and Civic Life professor tasked me with maintaining a blog series about any topic of my choosing. I focused on the personal growth strategies and productivity philosophies that I have applied throughout my freshman year at PSU. Most of my blogs discussed beneficial habits, such as cold showers, cardio workouts, and creating daily tasklists; other articles had a more philosophical theme. This piece explores how discipline and perseverance enable one to take advantage of difficult situations, specifically the quarantine, for self-improvement. I draw upon Sun Tzu for inspiration.

My Civic Issues blog series focused on political controversies. Droning On analyzes the merits and costs of continuing American involvement in Afghanistan. I approach this from economic, political, and humanitarian angles, providing a balanced overview of the different options, before offering a potential resolution. This blog aims to cut through the talking points by tackling the source of the conflict.
